Tour Type: 4x4 Truck Tour
Season: June - Sept.

We will start this journey by heading to Langjokull, the second largest glacier in Iceland and on the way we will visit Deildartunguhver, the largest hot spring in the world and beautiful waterfalls Hraunfossar and Barnafossar. Then we will visit the home of Erik the Red, lived in Haukadalur, he was the father of Leif the Lucky. We will end the day in Stykkisholmur, where we will go on a cruise and see the wonders of uniquely shaped cliffs when entering a world where the wildlife thrives in its own natural environment. We navigate the strong tidal currents around the islands, the likes of which are not to be experienced anywhere else in the Icelandic waters. A high point of the trip is when we cast a net-plough overboard and trawl the seabed for shellfish delicacies. When the net is hauled in everyone gets the chance to feast on delicious shellfish and sea-urchin roe. Seafood doesn’t come any fresher or tastier than this! We also get to examine various other forms of marine life taken from the sea. The islands roundabout is teeming with bird life, (during the summer) e.g. puffins, eider ducks, kittiwakes, fulmars and the majestic whit-tailed eagle. After about two hours of nature watching and trawling for shellfish, the boat is anchored and a three course dinner (starter, fish- and meat buffet, dessert) is served in the exhilarating peacefulness of the area.

On day two we take you on a Journey to the Center of the Earth! …we take you close to the beautiful and spellbinding Snæfellsjökull glacier, where, according to author Jules Verne, you will find the entrance to the center of the earth. On our way around the Snæfellsnes peninsula we will visit Bjarnarhöfn shark farm and drive through Grundarfjordur, on our way to Djupalon where we will take a small walk. We will visit Þúfnabjörg where we see Lónsdranga grate cliffs with a magnificent view of two needles standing out by the sea. Then we will visit Arnarstapi and see the amazing rock formation in the sea cliffs. There are a number of other things to see on the way to Reykjavik.

You can combine snowmobiling, Ice climbing, Quadbikes / ATV and Horseback riding to this tour …
